FOOTHILLS OPTIMIST CLUB PRESENTS CHECK

FOR SUMMER SWIM POOL PASS PROGRAM

            On May 31, 2011 the Foothills Optimist Club presented the Town of Marana with a $2,000 check to support the community�s swim program for disadvantaged youth. The check was presented to Mayor Ed Honea at the Town pool, 13250 N. Lon Adams Road.  A community corporate partner, TriSports Racing and TriSports.com, contributed to the club's donation with matching funds.

            The contribution provides summer-long passes to children who otherwise could not afford a pass. This is the sixth year the club has supported the program. The club has donated $12,000 overall.
